For many people, one of the only good things coming out of this pandemic has been the time to read and read. But perhaps you have read all the books on your shelf. No worries, Winters Friends of the Library is here to help.
Books, books, and more books will be available to buy at the upcoming WFoL book sale, Saturday, November 14th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the patio between the Winters Library and the Bobbie Greenwood Pool.
From 9 to 10, the sale will be open exclusively to WFoL members. Non-members can join at the time and be allowed in early as well.
From 10 to 2, the general public is welcome to browse the treasure-trove of donated books. There are current titles of fiction, classics, westerns, young adult fiction, mysteries, children’s chapter books, picture books, and a few antique books. There will also be cds and dvds for sale.
Prices for books range from 50 cents to $2.00. Specialty books will be individually priced a bit higher. During the last hour, most books will be available for the amazing deal of a bagful for $5.00. Credit cards and cash will be accepted. Because of the pandemic, all customers and volunteers will be required to wear masks and keep physically distant from one another. In the event of a large crowd, some people may need to wait in line until there is enough room to browse.
All proceeds will be used to buy materials and benefit programs that Winters Friends of the Library sponsor such as English as a Second Language or the Books for Babies project.
