Share the warmth with the following programs held during the month of February at Yolo County’s Winters Community Library, located at 708 Railroad Avenue in Winters:
- February is Black History Month! 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment and the women’s suffrage movement and the 150th anniversary of the 15th Amendment and the right of black men to vote. This year’s theme, “African Americans and the Vote,” recognizes the ongoing struggle of voting for black men and women. Check out displays and pick up a special bookmark.
- February 1-14: Blind Date with a Book: The Winters Community Library is sponsoring a “Book Blind Date.” It’s a no commitment, no drama relationship where your “dream date” could be a thriller, a historical fantasy, a mystery or a sci-fi epic. Participants will be entered into a free drawing for a special gift.
- February 12: Valentine’s Day Crafts, 3:00 p.m. Share the love and have fun making Valentine’s Day cards, bookmarks and more. For all ages.
