Winters Friends of the Library Family Holiday Festival December 7, Saturday, from 10AM to 2PM in the Winters Community Center at 201 Railroad Avenue.
Children singing, holiday books to purchase, holiday crafts to make, delicious soup and cookies, and, of course, Santa: Winters Friends of the Library invites Winters families and friends to the annual Winters Friends of the Library Family Holiday Festival, on Saturday, December 7th, from 10 AM to 2 PM in the Winters Community Center next to Rotary Park.
The Family Holiday Festival opens at 10 AM with a special concert for preschoolers and their families, followed by a preschool craft time.
At 11:00, classes from Winters schools will perform on the outdoor or indoor stage.
Inside the community center, the annual holiday book sale will share space with crafters young and old. Children and their families may roll beeswax candles, make reindeer handprints, hammer out tin trivets, build glittering ornaments, and more. This year, there will be crafts for both adults and children.
Winters FFA will be selling beautiful wreaths, and the Fortnightly Club will bring an assortment of hand crafted items for sale. There will be a display of quilts by Winters quilters. There will be premium lightly used holiday books to purchase for both children and adults. Mrs. Claus’ Cafe will offer delicious homemade soup, sandwiches and cookies to purchase for lunch.
Best of all, Santa will be sitting under a tree of books, to hear holiday wishes, and have pictures taken.
Winters Friends of the Library invites families and friends to come and spend a few hours with your neighbors, celebrating the season in support of our community and our library. For more information, or to volunteer to help at this annual community event, go to wfol.org, or call 530-795-3476.
