We are excited to announce our first Community Writes – a day to learn, laugh, and play with words. Sponsored by Winters Friends of the Library in conjunction with the Indie Author Day.
Join us from 2-4:30 on Saturday, October 12th at the Winters Community Library and explore the nuances and fun of writing humor, memoir, and mysteries.
Hosted by local authors, each of the three sessions will include opportunities to learn, interact (with the author and each other), and practice the craft of writing.
Adults, teens, and mature middle graders are welcome – bring a pen, paper, or your laptop, and your sense of adventure and join in the fun. (P.S., we’ll actually have pens and paper so if you forget, that’s no excuse not to come!).
And for a bit of cross pollination of creativity, on the same day from 1- 5 pm you can also enjoy the Library Community Teaching Garden Open House with Yolo County Master Gardeners on hand to answer your gardening questions, as well as information on gardening for pollinators, and garden activities for kids.
