We are excited to announce our upcoming Author Talk, scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, at 7:00 p.m. at the Winters Community Library. Our featured speaker that evening will be author Lynn Fulton.
Lynn grew up loving books and wanting to write them, but never actually finished anything until she learned to type. Her keyboard skills led to one PhD dissertation and three novels for adults. She has worked as a college instructor, insurance investigator, seventh-grade English teacher, and writing tutor. She is also the sister of our library-loving local doctor Carla Kakutani.
Lynn’s first picture book, She Made a Monster, was inspired by a book group discussion of Frankenstein, twenty years after she taught it to her freshman composition students.
Lynn lives in a small town near San Francisco with her husband, son, and assorted animals. When she’s not writing, she likes to read, draw, take walks, and torment herself by trying to learn piano, which unfortunately is not the same thing as typing.
Please join us for this sure to be fun event! Admission is free and light refreshments will be provided.
Books will be available to purchase at the event. Or the link to purchase her book online is https://www.amazon.com/She-Made-Monster-Shelley-Frankenstein/dp/0525579605
