Big B and his Snakeoil Saviors at the Gazebo in Winters July 13

July 13 Winters Friends of th Library Summer gazebo Concert Big B
Big B and his Snakeoil Saviors will present a free outdoor concert on Thursday July 13 at 7:00 p.m. at the Rotary Park Gazebo in Winters, as part of the Winters Friends of the Library summer concert series.

The Winters Friends of the Library summer concert series continues with a free outdoor performance by Big B and his Snakeoil Saviors on Thursday, July 13, 7:00–8:30 p.m. at the Rotary Park Gazebo, on Main Street at Railroad Avenue, in front of the Community Center in Winters.

Inspired by the great music of the 40’s and 50’s, the Bay Area band specializes in swing, jump, jive, and boogie woogie with a country attitude. It features a hard-swinging rhythm section, a blazing horn section, boogie woogie piano, Western-style pedal steel guitar, a sassy chanteuse and yodeler-in-chief Big B.

The performance is part of the Winters Friends of the Library 20th season of Summer Concerts at the Gazebo. WFoL has presented free outdoor concerts every Thursday in July since 1998. This year the series will continue with Los Tres de Winters playing Norteño-style music on July 20 and Armstrong, Cary & MacGill playing hot swing from the 1920s, 30s, and 40s on July 27.

Everyone is invited to pack a picnic, bring a blanket or lawn chairs or sit on the grass, sip a cool drink, and enjoy some fine live music. The Friends of the Library will have delicious refreshments for sale, and all proceeds will support the Winters Library. This year’s concert series is co-sponsored by Waste Management and Oates Country Store. For more information, contact Keith Cary at kcary@dcn.org or (530) 795-3173, or visit wfol.org.
