The Muddy Waders will present a free outdoor concert on Thursday, July 16, 7:00–8:30 p.m. at the Rotary Park Gazebo, on Main Street at Railroad Avenue, in front of the Community Center in Winters.
The Davis-based quartet will romp and stomp their way through an eclectic mix of songs from Miles Davis to the Grateful Dead, with Tom Waits, the Meters, and old country tunes thrown in for good measure. The group features percussion, drums, lap steel, banjo, bass, electric guitar, and vocals.
The performance is part of the Winters Friends of the Library summer concert series. The series continues with the Crescent Katz playing New Orleans traditional jazz and hot swing on July 23, and Arann Harris and the Bad Farmers playing the funkiest farm songs anywhere on July 30.
Invite your friends and neighbors, bring a blanket or lawn chairs or sit on the grass, sip a cool drink, and enjoy some fine live music on a summer evening. The Friends of the Library will have delicious refreshments and quality used books for sale, and all proceeds will support the Winters Library.
