Just in time for Halloween, three community organizations in Winters are teaming up to host a huge costume sale. Trick-or-treaters and party-goers can stock up on costumes, hats, masks, and props on Saturday, October 20, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Winters Community Library, located at 708 Railroad Ave.
After putting on shows for more than thirty years, the Winters Theatre Company finds that their storage space is bursting at the seams, so they are letting go of some of their treasures. Also bringing fabulous costumes to sell will be Winters Shakespeare Workshop, which has set productions everywhere from 1930s Chicago to Bollywood to the Wild West to outer space, and Winters Friends of the Library, whose members create fantastic get-ups for the city’s Youth Day parade every year.
Proceeds of the sale will benefit community and school theater programs.
