Outstanding Musician and music educator, Katie Henry began an eight-week program of singing with Winters preschools, under a grant from Winters Friends of the Library.
Katie will conclude her sessions with a family singing event at the WFOL Family Holiday Festival. Preschoolers and their families are invited to sing with Katie Henry at 10 AM on Saturday, December 3, in the Winters Community Center.
“We love Katie!” says WPNS teacher Karen Benson Neil, “We all love to sing with her. She has brought us our favorite songs, and we invite her back to sing at our events.”
For the third year, Katie will be bringing rhythm and song to the Winters JUSD Preschool, and to Winters Parent Nursery School for seven weeks, and then to the Family Holiday Festival.
Singers from Waggoner and Rominger Schools will perform after the preschoolers at the WFoL Family Holiday Festival. Elementary students will perform starting at 12, noon, on Saturday, December 3 in the Winters Community Center.
Admission is free to the Family Holiday Festival, a warm Winters opening to the holiday season with family singing, handmade crafts to buy, children’s crafts to make, delicious homemade soup, sandwiches and cookies for sale, holiday book sale for children and adults, photos with Santa, and more.
