The Winters Friends of the Library summer concert series continues with a free outdoor performance by Bonanza King, on Thursday, July 14, 7:00–8:30 p.m. at the Rotary Park Gazebo, on Main Street at Railroad Avenue, in front of the Community Center in Winters.
Bonanza King, a popular Winters-based band, plays a high-energy blend of western swing, old country, jazz and blues, including catchy originals and covers of classics. Fronted by songwriter and singer Kari King, Bonanza King includes Keith Cary on steel guitar, Cedar Seegar on electric guitar, Steve O’Neill on upright bass and Nick Carvajal on drums. King’s rich, expressive vocals, the tight ensemble and clever arrangements, and the veteran band members’ musical skill and obvious enjoyment produce a fun experience for all.
The performance is part of the Winters Friends of the Library summer concert series. This year the series will continue with Triism playing award-winning jazz standards, pop tunes, and Bulgarian folk music on July 21 and Los Tres de Winters playing norteño music on July 28.
Invite your friends and neighbors, bring a blanket or lawn chairs or sit on the grass, sip a cool drink, and enjoy some fine live music on a summer evening. The Friends of the Library will have delicious refreshments for sale, and all proceeds will support the Winters Library. For more information, contact Keith Cary at kcary@dcn.org or (530) 795-3173.
