Winters Community Library -708 Railroad Avenue, Winters, CA
WFoL has been collaborating with students and teachers from Winter High School in support of the Big Day of Giving on May 3rd. We all want to showcase the library on that day, and let everyone know how important the library is to our community.
BOOK SALE
Richard Cowan, WFoL’s official used-book librarian, along with student Jennifer Johnson-Ries, and volunteer extrodinaire Revalee Hemlen, have been busily sorting and organizing books for a Spectacular WFoL BOOK SALE . The sale will be held in the Margaret Parson’s Room of the library and it will start at 8am.
It’s the best bargain in town. Used books will be offered for sale for all ages; $.50 for paperbacks, and $1.00 for hardcovers.
Reading Certificate Book Give Away
In addition, Jennifer has worked hard with Principal Greg Moffitt to arrange for 680 Winters Elementary students and their teachers to cash in their “Book Bucks” to choose a free book of their choice on this day. Jennifer helped arrange a donation of over 600 books from a thrift store in Vacaville.
Activity Stations
Jointly, Winters High School teachers and WFoL, have designed stations for all ages. During the school day the stations will be lead by students and WFoL volunteers.
