The Winters Friends of the Library annual Membership Drive kicked off Monday, November 2, 2015 with their annual gathering . Anyone who joined or renewed their membership at the event was entered into a prize drawing held that evening. Even if you missed that night, you haven’t missed out on joining for the year 2016 and the benefits of becoming a member of the Winters Friends of the Library.
New Perks for Members
New this year for all 2016 members (new and renewing) is a membership card that offers exclusive promotions at businesses throughout the Winters community (in addition to the discount offered to book sales at the used book store).
This incentive program was not only embraced by the WFoL Board of Directors but by participating community business partners as well. Jean Rodriguez, co-owner of The Scoop frozen yogurt shop is happy to be part of the new program saying,
“We appreciate all the free educational programs the library has to offer the Winters community and we are glad we can do our part to help keep those programs going.”
Board co-President, Linda Glick, is thrilled that so many businesses have already signed on.
“We are unbelievably appreciative of the support that the Winters Library has received for this new incentive we are offering our members. This program would not be possible without the participation from key businesses in town. We really hope to see an increase in membership this year and are excited to work with new partners in the community.”
Members for the 2016 year will receive the new membership card that will give them access to promotions at the following businesses in town: Ace Hardware, Anytime Fitness, Buckhorn Restaurant, The Scoop, Steady Eddy’s, Turkovich Family Winery, and Winters Health Care.
