Winters Friends of the Library hosts author talks and guest speakers to appeal to a variety of tastes and ages in the community.
For example at our Annual Membership Gathering in November we’ve enjoyed presentations by author Catriona McPherson, Judge Sonia Cortes, Maceo Montoya, cartoonist Jack Ohman, and author and child advocate, Kris Calvin.
Speaker Series and Author Talks are arranged throughout the year. We’ve hosted well known best-selling authors as well as authors just beginning their writing career. We appreciate the many local authors who have been generous with their time and book donations and committed to supporting libraries.
Our Community Writes Event provides a program of authors sharing their craft of writing with interactive writing workshops.
