There’s nothing like picking and eating fresh, tree-ripened fruit! You can beautify your yard and reduce your grocery bills at the WFoL annual Fruit Tree Sale!
There is a limit of 10 per customer, so come early for the best selection! Last year, the gates opened at 8:30 a.m. and by 10:10 everything was sold out—775 trees and 200 berry bushes—raising more than $13,000 for the library. Trees are generously donated by Sierra Gold Nursery of Yuba City, CA.
Master Gardeners of Yolo County will be at the sale providing advice on tree selection, pruning, and planting tips.
New this year: Last year’s sale was such a success that we struggled to sign up new members before the public sale opened. So this year we have implemented two changes: the member sale will be one hour long, instead of half an hour, and shoppers will not be able to join at the door. To get in early, you will need to join or renew by Feb. 28.
