Winters Friends of the Library(WFoL) helps get books into people’s homes and supports literacy in our community.
Ahh, the magic of reading a treasured book that you own.
In the comfort of your home, again and again.
In addition to our ongoing book sales at the library and on amazon, WFoL hosts special book give away events throughout the year such as our annual Free Book Booth at the Youth Day Festival on last Saturday of April.
The WFoL booth is located at the City Park beginning at Noon on Youth Day, following the parde.
Volunteers will have an assortment of books for all ages, from picture books to chapter books, with one available for each child that visits our booth. The books range in reading level from kindergarteners to 6th graders.
WFoL has been providing books at Youth day for 10 years with around 200 or so provided each year, depending on our supply.
All of these books are available thanks to the donations of our local community.
The Booth will have also have additional information about the WF0L programs, including our Books for Babies program.
We will also be providing merchandise for sale such as t-shirts, book bags and hats.
Of course, we will also have information available and volunteers to help you join WFoL or make a donation for the Big Day of Giving.
Come on down, say hello, and take home a book.
